Beth Geddes
BSc (Hons), LicAc, BhTEC, ITEC, OHNC, RGN
Licensed Acupuncturist
and Member of the
British Acupuncture Council
I have worked as a health care professional for over twenty years, firstly as a trained nurse and occupational health nurse, then as a massage therapist and acupuncturist.
Whilst learning Chinese massage, or ‘Tui Na’, at the Bodyharmonics Centre in Cheltenham, under Maria Mercati, I became interested in acupuncture. I subsequently trained in this, gaining a licence and BSc (Hons) degree at the College of Integrated Medicine in Reading. I gained a real appreciation of traditional Chinese medicine and Five Element theory there, and learned of its practical application to the needs of people living in modern Western society.
I studied Chinese patent or pre-prepared herbs at the Northern College of Acupuncture, and often use these as a powerful adjunct to acupuncture treatments.
Member of a Professional Body
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I am fully insured to practice, and abide by the Council's professional codes of ethics and practice.
Continuous Professional Development
I am committed to undertaking Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and regularly attend lectures and workshops to keep abreast of the latest research and developments in Chinese medicine.
