Tui Na, Indonesian and Traditional Thai

are three forms of Oriental bodywork

offered at One Space Acupuncture.

Tui Na

Tui Na, Chinese medical massage, forms an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), together with acupuncture, Chinese herbs and Qi Gong. It uses moving acupressure techniques to stimulate Qi energy along the body’s meridian pathways, thus bringing about a state of balance. It is performed through loose light clothing, such as sportswear.

Tui Na can be performed as a whole body massage, or may be used to focus on certain problem areas, for example, in back, neck or shoulder pain. This is generally a vigorous form of bodywork and is excellent for stress and  musculo-skeletal and sports injuries. It may also be performed gently, bringing about a state of deep relaxation.

Indonesian Massage

Like Tui Na massage, Indonesian bodywork is an ancient therapy

from the East. It uses deep tissue techniques with oil on the skin, to bring about a deep sense of relaxation. It is highly effective for back pain, stress, sports injuries, and many other conditions.

Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai massage consists of a sequence of deeply relaxing presses and passive yoga stretches that improve flexibility, reduce stress and improve chronic pain conditions.

It is performed on a floor mat, with the person wearing light comfortable clothing, such as sportswear.
