What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a very safe form of energy medicine, and forms part of the ancient system of traditional Chinese medicine that has been practiced for over 2000 years. It may be used alongside conventional medicine very effectively.
It is the person's 'qi' or 'life force' energy that is accessed via the needles, and this stimulates their own internal healing energy to bring about a state of balance towards greater health.

It consists of the insertion of fine, sterile, single use, disposable needles into specific areas of the body, to bring about a state of energetic balance. These specific areas are known as ‘acupoints’, and are located along the body’s energy pathways or ‘meridians’.
When this is achieved, the person generally experiences a state of physical and mental wellbeing. Over several treatments, this can bring about significant and lasting healing to the person’s presenting condition.
